Gulf Bank customers have been gifted time!

In a strategic collaboration with Media Market, we partnered with Gulf Bank to enhance and streamline their online banking experience. Based on thorough UX research, a comprehensive UX/UI overhaul was designed to minimize in-person bank visits for routine financial transactions.

As a result, Gulf Bank customers can now effortlessly open debit accounts, submit necessary documents, and sign forms—all digitally from the comfort of their homes or on the go, thanks to mobile platform optimization. With the introduction of secure electronic signatures, there is no need for a physical presence at the bank.

Moreover, customers are offered an array of delivery options, including in-bank pickup or direct delivery to their addresses. This transformation not only enhances user convenience but also significantly saves time, aligning with Gulf Bank’s commitment to customer-centric digital innovation.

Impact

With the redesigned platform, users can now access accounts and services 24/7 and upload documents securely from anywhere. By combining all user information into a single interface, it simplifies expense tracking and enhances financial management.

Speed and efficiency were prioritized in the redesigned website, developed with a customer-centric approach. By leveraging advanced digital data analytics, Gulf Bank can continuously improve its user experience and operational effectiveness.

Objectives

Our project aimed to revolutionize banking by simplifying transactions and improving efficiency through digital and customer-centric solutions. Here’s how we achieved it:

Provide customers with a seamless and enjoyable banking experience despite the complexity and variety of services.
Implement a gamified approach to simplify banking processes, allowing clients to customize their experiences and reducing routine complexity.
Minimize human error and enhance efficiency by implementing digital solutions.
Reduce operational overhead to make banking more cost-effective for customers.

Challenges

During this project, we navigated a series of significant challenges to achieve our goals:

Onboarding users with ease despite extensive content requirements.
Making a design that is clear and user-friendly for a diverse audience and nationalities.
Maintaining a tight schedule to ensure the product's timely launch.
Setting up a clear visual hierarchy on small screens by prioritizing a mobile-first design approach.
Following the established design principles of the bank which were not flexible.
Utilizing red, the bank's main color, as the primary color while managing its potentially alarming appearance.
